The Drag by Voopoo is arguably one of the best all around mods.
This device checks all the important boxes; durable, accurate, efficient, and affordable. The main body of the drag is a metal shell with tough plastic internals. The metal body makes this device much tougher than other devices that are made primarily of plastic. I can personally attest to the number of times I dropped my Drag and thought “oh, well that’s broken” only to pick it up and have it function like nothing ever happened.
A magnetic battery hatch means your batteries won’t come flying out every time you set your device down like they sometimes do in the friction fit battery hatches. The 510 connection on top of the mod is held on with a couple of small fasteners, again superior to the friction and glue that holds many other devices together.
The Drag uses Voopoo’s flagship chipset, the Gene chip, to run this device. This chip is famously accurate, efficient, quick to fire, and customizable. In order to customize the firmware on this device, you must install the proprietary software from Voopoo’s website. The Drag can fire down to a 0.05 ohm in both wattage and temperature control, meaning users can easily run any coil out there. The device also boasts an insanely fast 0.025 second firing speed, making it so there is no perceivable lag between pressing the button and producing vapor. The interface on the Gene chip is reasonably simple and features a curve mode. If you are unfamiliar with curve modes, you can set your wattage in second long intervals, tailoring your vape to suit your needs.
Overall, this device is a stellar choice for a mod.
