Proud to be one of Edmonton's trusted sources for vapers since 2013.

There are many names for what we offer – e-cigs, vape sticks, e-liquid, Juuls – even e-juice (don't drink it though, it’s not juice kids). But we just call it what it is: a better alternative to smoking.

We started River City Vapes that same year just to help friends and family quit smoking. Thanks to massive community support, it grew way beyond what we imagined!

Company Timeline

Jan 2013 – Shawn discovers e-cigs with nicotine and sees the potential.
Feb 2013 – Shawn and Kelly smoke their last cigarette.
March 2013 – Shawn starts helping family and friends with vape gear.
Summer 2013 – Driving around Edmonton setting people up with vapes.
Fall 2013 – First retail spot renovated at 88 Street & 118 Avenue.
Dec 13, 2013 – First store opens on Alberta Avenue!
July 2014 – Moved to Fort Road (still our busiest location!).
Fall 2014 – RCV becomes founding member of Canadian Vaping Association.
April 2016 – Windermere location opens.
Jan 2018 – Opened 10,000 sq. ft warehouse for admin/lab.
May 2018 – Newcastle location opens – model for future shops.
